As most of you are aware we have been trying to sell for the last couple of years. We are now happy to announce that Bruce and Faye will be retiring on the 31st March 2026. PET2US (see below for details) will be taking over the reins and most of our staff will still be looking after and caring for your dogs.

We would like to thank you all for your support and loyalty over the last 40 years. It has been our pleasure to look after and care for your dogs over this time. We will miss you and your dogs very much.

We are situated in the lovely picturesque Esk Valley, set amongst rural farmland in beautiful country surroundings, yet only 20 minutes north of Napier on SH5 (Napier-Taupo Highway) and just 10 minutes from Napier Airport. Aubernee Kennels are located on the corner of the SH5 and Ellis Wallace Road, being 7kms from the intersection with SH2 (Napier-Wairoa Highway).

Owned and Operated by Bruce and Faye Anderson since 1986 Aubernee Kennels is run by very experienced owners and staff members. We are the oldest established boarding kennels in Hawkes Bay, still being operated and run by the original owners.

Aubernee Kennels provides 5 star canine comfort and care for all your dog boarding requirements. We cater for any breed or cross breed of dog, big or small dog size, multi-dog families, short or long term stays our speciality.

PLEASE NOTE WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING BOOKINGS OVER THE SUMMER MONTHS DECEMBER TO FEBRUARY FOR ANY BRACHYCEPHALIC BREEDS I.E. PUGS, BOXERS, BULLDOGS ETC. BECAUSE OF THE EXTREME TEMPERATURES WE ARE EXPERIENCNG IN HAWKES BAY OVER THIS TIME. THE WELFARE OF THE DOGS IS OUR FIRST AND FOREMOST CONCERN.
